Christmas Party (Our Visitors)
Napakapalad naming maksama ang Philippine Male Chrale sa aming Christmas Party. Masayang masaya ang lahat lalo't higit ay nagperform sila ng mga awiting pamasko sa kanilang pagdating. Nakasama namin sila sa salosalo at bago nag-umpisa ay inawit nila ang "Ama Namin" makabagbag damdamin ang kanilang pag-awit kaya naman kaming lahat ay nasiyahan. Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagdalo nawa hindi po iyon ang una at huli nawa'y marami pang pagkakataon na makapiling po namin kayo. Ito ang iilan sa mga larawan na nakuha nung December 28, 2009 ang araw ng Barnabite Altar Servers' Christmas Party. Hati hati ang paglilingkod ang iba ay sa San Jose Chapel at ang iba ay sa Sagrado Corazon.

Mga Minamahal na magulang,
Pagbati!
Kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa inyong pahintulot na ang inyong anak ay makapaglingkod sa Dambana ng Panginoon. Nais po sana naming ipagbigay alam sa inyo na nitong Kapaskuhan ay magkakaroon po kami ng Caroling sa mga bahay ng aming kaibigan at kakilala. Ito’y isasagawa upang ang malikum na pundo ay magamit sa kanilang mga panganga-ilangan sa paglilingkod. Ang aming Caroling ay mag-uumpisa ngayong ika-20, 1PM-5PM ng buwang kasalukuyan at inaasahang matapos sa ika-24 ng buwan at kung kinakailangan ay ipagpatuloy pa namin.
Gayon din po naman ay magkakaroon na ng pag-lilingkod sa simbang gabi. Ang mga nasa bandang Aroma ay maglilingkod sa San Jose at ang nasa SMSK ay maglilingkod sa Barnabite Chapel.
Schedule:
• December 19 (CADM visitor) ang mga altar servers ay magahahanda sa lugar ng pagdaraosan ng programa (gift giving) ang makakaatend ay inaasahang makarating ng maaga (7:00AM)
• Dec 20-24 (1:00PM-5:00PM) Caroling(kung sa kaling maypagbabago sa mga schedules ay ipagbibigay alam po namin sa inyong mga anak.
• Dec 15-23 (8:00 PM) Simbang gabi San Jose
• December 16-24 (5:00AM) Simbang gabi Barnabites
• December 25 (wala pang oras) Lahat ay magserve sa San Jose at Barnabites
Inaasahan po naming sa pamamagitan ng paglilingkod ng inyong mga anak sa Dambana ng Panginoon sila ay malayo sa masamang gawain.

Mga Mahal Naming Mga Magulang,
Pagbati ng pagmamahal, kapayapaan, at tuwa sa Sanggol na isinilang sa Belen!
Nagpapasalamat po kami na inyong pinaunlakan ang aming paanyaya na ang inyong mga anak ay makadalo sa aming Caroling. Ipagpaumanhin po na minsan kami ay gabinggabi na kung makauwi, lalo na sa mga nagsisilbi sa Toklong ng San Jose. Hindi po maiwasan na ang ibang bahay ay wala sa oras ng aming pagpunta kaya’t kami ay pinapabalik sa gabi. Maganda naman po ang resulta ng aming Caroling. Matutupad na rin po ang aming hangarin na makabili ng maayos at matibay na cabinet para sa kanilang mga sotana, makakabili na rin marahil ng mga gamit sa pag-aaral at iba pang mga kagamitan sa kanilang quarter dito sa Fatima Shrine.
Nais po ng mga Lingkod ng Dambana (Atar Servers) na tayo’y magkaroon ng Christmas party. Napag-usapan na gaganapin ngayong ika-28 ng Disyembre taong kasalukuyan at gaganapin dito sa Barnabite House, pagkatapos ng Misa sa 9:00AM. Minumungkahi po namin na kayong mag-anak ay dito na po magsimba. Inaanyayahan po namin kayong dumalo, kasama ng inyong mag-anak ayon sa bilang na sinabi ng inyong anak na maaring makadalo sa ating party. Ang layunin po ng party natin ay upang magkakakilala ang mga magulang ng mga Lingkod at maging masaya ang inyong mga anak. Nawa huwag ninyong makalimutan at sana ay bigyan n’yo po ng panahon. Hindi na po kinakailangan na kayo ay magdala ng pagkain ngunit kung inyo pong marapatin ay malugod po nating pagsaluhan.
Maraming salamat po. nawa’y patuloy ninyong suportahan ang inyong mga anak sa kanilang paglilingkod sa Dambana ng Panginoon.
Maligayang pasko po sa inyong lahat, pagpalain kayo ng Dios.

Last October 13, 2008, on the occasion of the commemoration of the last apparation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima, ten young boys were installed as altar servers (now there are five more new applicants and we are expecting more applicants on the following days). They are serving in the chapels of San Jose and the Barnabites. These boys has several needs both personal and the ones connected with their service as altar servers. However, we lack funds to provide them with their needs and since they belong to poor families they could not ask their parents to provide. With regard to these, we knock at your doors for your generousity to help us (we will appreciate in whatever help you will extend to us).
We would like to seranade you with Christmas Carols in your house on December _____ at around ______________________________ .
The proceeds for this Caroling will be used for:
• Purchase of a durable cabinet for their tunic (soutane)
• Things needed in the Altar Servers’s quarter
• Personal things (t-shirt, socks, etc.) for th servers.
• To support their studies (for fare, school supplies, and school payments)

Ang artikulo sa ibaba ay hango mula sa iPaul(ang online publication ng Barnabites Tagaytay Community. Ito ay isinulat din ng may akda na tagapamahala ng blog na ito. Maraming salamat po. 
“Mga Linkod ng Dambana”
Last October 13, 2008, concurrently with the
commemoration of the last apparition of the
Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima, ten young boys
were installed as Linkod ng Dambana (= “altar
servers”), in the Scholasticate Chapel of the
Barnabites of Tagaytay, Philippines. The event
was attended by their parents and relatives as
well as religious congregations and the lay faithful
in our neighboring area. The solemn celebration
was presided by the Reverend Father Giovanni
Ma. Scalese, CRSP, the Superior of the
Saint Paul Scholasticate in Tagaytay and Delegate
Superior for the Philippines.
The thought of forming a group of Altar
Servers was conceived because of the need of
Altar Servers in one of our apostolate areas, the
Barangay Chapel of San Jose. One boy was recruited
and another more volunteered, until they
reached fifteen applicants. Five of them were
not able to make it to the investiture for different
valid reasons. The boys faithfully attended the
weekly seminar and training every weekend. Bro.
Albino Ma. Vecina, CRSP, took care of the catechism
class and Bro. Joseph Ma. Bernales, CRSP
took care of the seminar. The training and seminar
started from the last week of June and culminated
on the day of their investiture.
Aside from having altar servers for the
Barnabite Chapel and the San Jose Chapel, one
of our purposes is to set these young boys away
from the exposure of bad influence. Both the
Barnabite Community and the parents of these
boys shared the hope of keeping these boys
from becoming juvenile delinquent in the society.
Many concerns arose, like the need for tunics
and for personal things these boys would use.
Mrs. Rosario Quilao, “Tita Rose” as we fondly call
her, despite her poverty promised to help us by
asking her friends to sponsor the tunics. Another
blessing was the help of the Merciful Sisters in
sewing the tunics for free. The Servers, their parents
and the Barnabite Community are truly
thankful for the generosity of our benefactors
through Tita Rose.
Today the Barnabite Altar Servers are actively
serving for the two chapels mentioned. They
serve on Sundays and are scheduled to serve for
the Simbang Gabi (nine days of Masses before
Christmas, unique to the Philippines) in preparation
for the Christmas Season. This Yuletide the
Servers will have their Christmas Caroling in order
to raise funds for their studies and for the
things needed in their service to the church.
Those who are able to make it through the
investiture are Felipe Jr., Artemio Jr., Jose Ruel Jr.,
Art Lawrence, Joel, Carlo, Jeffrey, Roderick, Effren,
and Marco. At present there are more young
boys who express their desire of serving at the
Altar of the Lord by joining the Barnabite Altar
